Manchester City scare as Erling Haaland limps out of training for Norway

Erling Haaland has limped out of training while on international duty with Norway.

The Manchester City forward was filmed coming off the training pitch with an apparent knock only 12 days before the champions host title rivals Arsenal.

Haaland, who appeared to be holding his leg when he departed from the training session, has scored 18 league goals this season and will no doubt start for City when Arsenal visit the Etihad Stadium on Easter Sunday should he be fit to do so. Pep Guardiola will be hoping that proves the case and Haaland’s injury is not serious.

Norway are set to face Czech Republic in a friendly on Friday before hosting Slovakia next week.

Meanwhile, Thibaut Courtois has been ruled be out of action for several weeks after incurring a meniscus tear in his right knee during training on Tuesday, making him a doubt for Real Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final tie against City next month.

The 31-year-old Belgium goalkeeper had been expected to return to Real’s squad after spending several months on the sidelines following an ACL tear in his left knee last August. He had an MRI scan later on Tuesday that confirmed the damage to his right knee.
