Liverpool coach Klopp whacks journo’s weight, storms out of live interview after ‘dumb question’
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp dramatically walked out on a TV interview after commenting on a reporter’s weight in the aftermath of the Reds’ dramatic 4-3 FA Cup defeat to Manchester United in extra time.
Liverpool’s hopes of securing a trophy quadruple in Klopp’s final season at Anfield came crashing down at Old Trafford, as the tired Reds were unable to overcome their bitter rivals.
Scott McTominay opened the scoring for the hosts before two quick goals turned it around for Liverpool, with Alexis Mac Allister then Mohamed Salah scoring in the space of three minutes before halftime.
FA Cup erupts in SEVEN-goal madness as last-gasp United winner ends historic Liverpool bid
Antony scored his first goal at Old Trafford in a year to send the match into extra time, before Liverpool again took the lead through Harvey Elliot.
Marcus Rashford levelled it again at 3-3 before Adam Diallo scored the winner in added time of extra time, just his second United goal ever.
Liverpool have been battered by injuries in recent weeks and things worsened when star attackers Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo all were forced from the field with injury complaints.

Having already won the League Cup last month, Liverpool are still in the Premier League title race and the Europa League competition.
The Reds played on Thursday night and have played seven times in the last three weeks – two of them going to extra time – while United have played just four times in that space of time.
And the leggy Liverpool players looked tired from the first whistle before running out of gas in extra time.
When asked about it in a live television interview after the defeat, Klopp was evidently frustrated.

The Norwegian TV channel V Sport reporter said: “Normally intensity is the name of your game, so how come it became so difficult in extra-time?”
“Bit of a dumb question I feel. We have played, I don’t know how many games recently. I don’t know how many games United have exactly played.
“That’s sport. I’m really disappointed with that question, but you thought, obviously, it’s good.”
The reporter replied: “So, too many games.”
Klopp replied: “Oh come on. You are obviously not in a great shape and I have no nerves for you”, before walking out of the interview.
In his post-match press-conference, Klopp added: “That was the first time I saw my team really struggling. That’s how it is, we played a lot of football recently.
“Congratulations to United, they fought extremely hard as well.”
